Future Expansion Plans

Having established ourselves quite firmly in the Agency business we are planning to venture into the next logical step: offering value added services, in such areas as Spares Stocking Facility and Workshops Facility to service essential aircraft components.

Stocking Of Spares

All aspects connected with Aviation has to be strictly regulated and controlled. Any deviation from the rules and standards set by the regulatory authorities may badly affect the safety of the aircraft & the life of passengers. This in particular is true in the way the maintenance of aircraft is carried and the aircraft spares are stocked.

Very often the spares are required just in time prior to departure of the flight. If the required spares cannot be procured within a short time the flight has to be cancelled resulting in heavy losses to the airlines and damage to the reputation of the airlines. Thus it is very important to have these spares located close to the maintenance base. This, however, would entail a sizeable financial investment: for land, building & equipment for stocking spares in a clean & controlled environment etc. Finance is also required to meet maintenance, staff salaries and other sundry expenses. To keep the initial investment to manageable levels we plan to begin on a modest scale and later expand our facilities in planned phases. We foresee a scope for high returns on our investment. A preliminary study is being made on the ways to derive maximum benefits and make it a successful venture.

Workshop Facility

There are certain systems and equipment in the aircraft that have to be maintained at all times in a serviceable condition. As per regulations commercial flights cannot take off from the base station if such vital systems/equipment is not serviceable. Therefore operating airlines often desire an acute necessity to have a facility which can provide maintenance and workshop services close to its operational base. Thus establishing such a facility will not only be beneficial to the airlines but will also open up an avenue for a profitable line of business. Presently Kuwait Airways do have such facility which they are keen to privatize.

This again is Capital intensive but we expect to reap good returns. We are presently studying the feasibility of offering such services in Kuwait.
